The Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority’s John F. Kime Water Treatment Plant has been recognized by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality with the 2025 N.C. Area Wide Optimization Award for exceeding state and federal drinking water standards.
The plant also earned the prestigious Gold Star Award, recognizing facilities that have received the Area Wide Optimization Award for 10 or more consecutive years.
This recognition reflects the continued dedication of plant staff to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality drinking water to the communities they serve.
